What You Will Learn
By completing the Electrician Trade Course, trainees will gain hands-on skills and industry-relevant expertise essential for a wide range of electrical jobs. The course equips students with the practical knowledge needed for electrical installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting across both domestic and industrial settings
1. Fitting Fundamentals & Safety
Introduction to fitting tools and equipment, safe handling of machinery, workshop safety rules, and basic maintenance practices.
2. Measuring & Marking
Use of precision measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges), marking tools, layout work, and tolerance understanding from ±0.5mm to ±0.02mm, angular accuracy up to 10ʹ (minutes).
3. Filing & Cutting Operations
Basic to advanced filing, sawing, and cutting techniques using hand tools and machines, material preparation for fitting
4. Drilling, Tapping & Threading
Practice in drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, and thread cutting with dies and taps—both internal and external.
5. Assembly & Maintenance
Assembly of mechanical components and sub-systems, dismantling, reassembling, and preventive maintenance procedures.
6. Engineering Drawing & Calculation
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, symbols, fits and tolerances, along with workshop-related math and science.
7. Advanced Fabrication Skills
Scraping, chipping, pipe bending, welding basics, alignment of shafts, bearings, and couplings; working with keys, gears, and pulleys.
8. Project Work & Extra Activities
Individual and group projects, skill competitions, extracurricular activities to build confidence and collaborative ability.
